Passive Mobs

Passive mobs add flavor to the world.

Starfish

These 5-legged, slow-moving creatures wander around beaches and on the ocean floor. They can be picked up and placed with a water bucket. Starfish placed from buckets do not despawn.

Fly

Flies buzz around and don't really do anything.

Firefly

Fireflies spawn at night (or when it's dark). They are brightly colored and can be seen from far away.

Snails & Slugs

Occasionally found on grass.

Small Spider

Spiders...but small.

Clam

Clams are found in most biomes in rivers and lakes, or on the ocean floor. Clams drop themselves when killed which can be cooked for food. They also rarely drop pearls which can be traded to fisherman villagers for emeralds. Clams can be picked up and placed with a water bucket. Clams placed from buckets do not despawn.

Scarecrow

Scarecrows are friendly player-made mobs using fences, a hay bale, and a possessed pumpkin. Although scarecrows are unable to move, they attack by throwing random crops at enemy mobs. Scarecrows will not attack creepers.

They can be healed by giving them wheat.
